On September 30th, at the Kentucky Horse Park's Covered Arena in Lexington, amateur team penning riders will be paired with a celebrity guest rider in an effort to see who can pen the group of cattle the fastest. Who wouldn't want to attend? All proceeds will be donated to the Kentucky Horse Park Foundation.
The celebrity team penning event starts at 4:30pm and is expected to end around 10pm. Attendees can expect an evening of dancing in the dirt after dinner, so be sure to bring your dancing shoes! Some of the celebrities participating in Battle in the Saddle include:

Those interested in sponsoring or attending the event will be invited to attend a cocktail event and a catered dinner. Tickets are $10 for adults at the door and children under the age of 12 get in free, with an adult. If you'd like to stay for a delicious supper and have VIP access, you can purchase a ticket for $75. The sounds like a pretty great deal for an evening of celebrities, dinner, dancing and fun!
Attendees can cheer on their favorite teams and support them through the Calcutta auction prior to the competition. Not only will contestants be competing to pen the cattle, but they'll also be competing in a Farm Team Challenge, a fun competition between area horse farm riders.
